WHAT IS A TRAINING HUB?
Training Hubs are networked arrangements of service and education providers within a specified geography.
To deliver a fit for purpose workforce to meet the health needs of the population it serves.
Training Hubs aim to empower community organisations to work with higher education institutions to assess workforce training needs, expand capacity for training in the community, innovate in the field of training and deliver multiprofessional training.
Bexley Training Hub is run by a local steering group and has a Project Manager, a Primary Care tutor and an administrator. We work with Bexley CCG and other local organisations to ensure quality and value of training and education.
The perceived benefits of community based networks are common and include a more localised approach to training needs assessment and education provision and shifting the focus from acute to community- based education and care.
